چکیده
Highlights Jackfruit leaf extraction was performed by percolation method using 96% ethanol solvent with flavonoid, saponin, tannin, alkaloid, and steroid terpenoid test. extract effective as a larvicide against larvae of Aedes aegypti. Abstract Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is disease caused the dengue virus, which enters human bloodstream through bite mosquito genus. The DHF control program carried out breaking vector chain, aegypti larvae. underutilized jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) leaves contain secondary metabolites that have potential to be larvicides. Secondary larvicides are flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids. Objective: This study determine effectiveness in controlling vectors most concentration an larvicide. Material Method: analytic observational cross-sectional design. conducted from March 2022 April 2022. data were analyzed SPSS Anova (parametric) Kruskal Wallis non-parametric. Result: In 243 gr method, yield 24.3%. larvae, even at 0.75%. LC50 results for total obtained 0.331% strong toxicity (poisonous). 2% yielded mortality value 91.2 8 hours 3% it 96 hours. Conclusion:

A Disposable Sensor For Assessing Artocarpus heterophyllus L. (Jackfruit) Maturity
The purpose of this work was an attempt to monitor the ripeness process and to investigate the different maturity stages of jackfruit by chemometric treatment of the data obtained from the disposable sensor. Response of the sensor strip fabricated using screenprinting technology was analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the classification model constructed by means of Canonical ...
متن کاملNutritional assessment of a jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) meal.
OBJECTIVES The mature jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) is consumed in Sri Lanka either as a main meal or a meal accompaniment. However, there is no scientific data on the nutrient compositions of cooked jackfruit meals. Thus, the objective of the study was to carry out a nutritional assessment of a composite jackfruit breakfast meal comprising seeds and flesh. DESIGN A jackfruit meal comp...

The present experiment was conducted at the Molecular Horticulture Lab. of Agrotechnology Discipline, Khulna University to develop products by processing different parts of jackfruits and to evaluate the nutritional quality of the processed products. The highest total soluble solids were observed from jelly (65.00 %). The highest pH was also found in jelly (5.047). Green pickle contains highest...
متن کاملThe Use of Performance Indicators for Evaluating Models of Drying Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.): Page, Midilli, and Lewis
Mathematical models of drying are used for the purpose of understanding the drying process in order to determine important parameters for design and operation of the dryer. The jackfruit is a fruit with high consumption in the Northeast and perishability. It is necessary to apply techniques to improve their conservation for longer in order to diffuse it by regions with low consumption. This stu...
متن کاملEvaluation of anticonvulsant activity of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. leaves (Jackfruit) in mice
Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. (Jackfruit) is traditionally used as anticonvulsant. The aqueous and methanol extracts of leaves of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. was evaluated for anticonvulsant activity by using Maximal electroshock (MES) and Strychnine induced convulsions models on Swiss albino mice. The methanol extracts of leaves of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. were found to be more signific...
